Each year Hazlehead Park hosts the Aberdeen Highland Games on the third Sunday of June with an assortment of contests such as caber tossing, hammer throwing, Highland dancing, solo piping and tug of war. It usually attracts about 15,000 attendants. Entertainment includes Pipe and Drum Bands, charity stalls, trade stands.
