Painting William Brooker (b. Croydon, UK 1918 - d. 1983) studied at Croydon School of Art (1936-1939), Chelsea School of Art (1947-1949) and Goldsmiths College of Art (1948-1949). Between 1949 and 1965 he taught at a number of schools and academies of Art including Bath, Wimbledon, Willesden and Harrow.

William Brooker studied at Croydon School of Art between 1936-9, and after serving in the army towards the end of the war, continued his studies in London at Chelsea and Goldsmiths. He enjoyed a long and successful teaching career, during which he held posts at Harrow, Ealing, Willesden, Central and Wimbledon Schools of Art.
