Cut Piece, which Ono performed almost simultaneously with Bag Piece between 1964 and 1966, invited audience members to come up to the stage, cut off a piece of the artist's best clothes (whatever these might be at the time of the performance) and take it as a gift. This piece also prompted the viewers to leave their comfort zones and go on stage.
