The Teens entstehen im Sommer 1976 in West-Berlin als Schülerband. Die Gründungs-mitglieder sind Michael Uhlich, Uwe Schneider und Alexander Möbius. 1977 kommen Jörg Treptow und Robert Bauer zur Band. im Frühjahr 1978 unterschreibt die Gruppe ihren ersten Plattenfirma bei Hansa International.
